Bluewater Mission is an alternative worship service and community. Alternative both because it does not have a traditional style, and because Jesus was all about alternatives.
He took religion away from the religious and gave it to low-lifes. He told the rich to become poor and made the poor rich. He healed the sick with spiritual power. He claimed it was better to love enemies than friends. He sought life by dying. Jesus changed the rules and made the impossible possible.
Our 10 am Sunday services are casual, come-as-you-are events. The teachings are informal, practical and challenging by design. We depend on the Holy Spirit to show up and make it real. The music is modern, the coff ee is hot, the people are interesting. We get to know one another in small groups during the week, and support each other toward lives of unlikely freedom, inexplicable power, and surprising joy.
